>> A good traveller has no fixed plans
and is not intent upon arriving.
A good artist lets his intuition
lead him wherever it wants.
A good scientist has freed himself of concepts
and keeps his mind open to what is.

Thus the Master is available to all people
and doesn't reject anyone.
He is ready to use all situations
and doesn't waste anything.
This is called embodying the light.<< - Laozi

Shiatsu was developed in Japan and belongs to the field of manual body work. The idea to heal through massage is as old as mankind itself. Intuitively people have always touched or held bodyparts to ease the symptoms of pain. Shiatsu follows this path. Its idea is to treat the whole human being and balance its energy flow. Therefore in Shiatsu the practicioner works with his whole body to treat the whole body - wholeness leads to wholeness.

A mindful and attentive touch supports the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. At the beginning of a Shiatsu session there is a hara-diagnosis - a detailed diagnosis of the energy level. This kind of diagnosis allows an identification of subtle imbalances of the energy level and an individual approach to its treatment. According to the diagnosis imbalances in the energy level can be harmonized, blockades can be released and weak energy spots can be restored.

Shiatsu is an attentive kind of encounter and contact - with the aim to restore the energy flow. By using a variaty of techniques, like stretches, rotations and Barefoot-Shiatsu the self-healing process of the body is activated and the physical, emotional and mental well-being is increased.
